My Favourite Ways to Unwind After a Stressful Day

Stressful days get the best of us sometimes, and the majority of the time we feel like being swallowed up by the ground. But I have a few solutions to put your mind at ease on those tough days... Continue reading for my favourite ways to unwind after a stressful day. Enjoy!

Read a few chapters

I love to get my head stuck in a book - especially one that's going to be beneficial to me. If I'm ever stressed - especially by work - I will pick up an information book so I'm still feeding my brain with good stuff despite having a little break. The books I'm currently reading are Crushing It! - Gary Vaynerchuk, Little Black Book: A Toolkit for Working Women - Otegha Uwagba and #GirlBoss - Sophia Amoruso.

Meditate for 5 minutes

I've recently got into meditating after reading about how beneficial it is for our minds, so I try to do it at least once a day. It's so important to have a few minutes to yourself every day where you don't need to think about anything. You don't even need any experience to do it either! - just sit down with a candle, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. You could always put on some meditation music on in the background if it helps.

Have a bath

This is my go-to when I'm stressed out. There is absolutely nothing better than a bath when the day just isn't going right for you - especially if it's accompanied by Lush. I like to turn the light off and light some candles and listen to my Rhye playlist to accomplish a more relaxed vibe.

Listen to tunes

What's better than listening to tunes when you're feeling stressed? Just make sure the music you listen to isn't going to make you more stressed - opt for something calming.

Watch Netflix or YouTube

Just throw something on on Netflix! This way you can just relax away from any stresses, putting your main focus on whatever you're watching. At the moment I'm loving Grace & Frankie, Dynasty, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 and The Only Way is Essex (don't ask).

I hope that the next stressful day you have ends with a lush bubble bath or a Netflix session. You've got this, girl (or boy)!

Please leave a comment if you have any suggestions for future blog posts. I am also happy to answer any questions about veganism you may have.
