I Dislike People Who Aren't Vegan???
I love answering questions about veganism, whether it comes from my family or a stranger on the internet. I want to try and make veganism sound as easy as I can.
I took to CuriousCat and asked some of you to send in your questions about veganism and now I'm going to try my best to answer them in the best way I can for you!
I have been vegan for a year and 3 months. Before then, I was vegetarian for 3 months because I didn't think that it would be possible to be vegan while living at home with meat eaters but to my surprise it is actually really easy, (it also helps that my family are now vegetarians.)

Not intrusive at all. I lost weight when I first became vegan, this was because I had a lot of smoothies and I didn't snack a lot but now I eat whatever I want and I maintain the weight I have always been. If you are wanting to go vegan to become healthier or lose weight then I recommend a whole foods diet. Don't get reeled in by processed vegan foods.

I became vegan mainly for the animals. Once I was aware of how badly they're treated, I couldn't go back. Whenever there was meat on my plate, I would see an animal, not food. I was also heavily influenced by my favourite actor: River Phoenix. He was a vegan from birth and as he got older became a passionate animal rights activist.
My current foundation isn't cruelty free due to purchasing it before I was vegan. (It's totally okay to finish any makeup you have that isn't cruelty free, as long as you don't repurchase.) However, my Mum uses the NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation and I've been told it has high coverage and blends well.

Go slowly and don't rush it. Baby steps are better than no steps. The brilliant part of your situation is that you're doing it with your girlfriend, meaning you can motivate each other to keep at it. I recommend this blog post to help you get started. (Click here)

This is a tough one. But it's okay if you can't go vegan straight away. As long as you try your best, it's better than nothing. Do you work? You could possibly do your own grocery shopping. If you don't, say to your family that you'll help with the cooking, just to show them you are being serious about your decisions. Also, this blog post might help you out. (Click here)
I've enjoyed this chatty Q&A and would love to do it again. If you have any vegan related questions, don't hesitate to ask me on CuriousCat or Twitter.
Please leave a comment if you have any suggestions for future blog posts I am also happy to answer any questions about veganism you may have.
