My Top 3 Shows on Netflix
Over the years Netflix has become the most popular way to stream your favourite TV shows and movies in the comfort of your own bed. It was founded in August 1997 by Reed Hastings & Marc Randolph and easily threw Blockbuster into the dirt.
I've had Netflix since 2014 and have loved every moment of it. I've discovered some amazing films/TV shows yet I've also come across some that I can't believe exist.
To conclude this short list of my favourite Netflix shows, I must add that I find it hard to get into shows at the best of times and there are far more brilliant shows I haven't mentioned. But watch these anyway, tah!
I've never been huge on films, I have the attention span of a goldfish but I really enjoy TV shows that are under 30 minutes long (if they're over 30 minutes long and I actually get through them that means I really love the show).
So, here I am to tell you some shows available on Netflix that you must watch:
1. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has easily become my favourite comedy. It's a sitcom about five friends with big egos and big dreams who always manage to fall into some sort of disaster, yet they always get away with it. My favourite character is Charlie Kelly (Far left), he is the janitor of the Irish pub he and his friends own. He can't read or write so he isn't the brightest of the bunch, the gang doesn't take him seriously when he expresses his opinion but I think he's smart deep down. He has potential! Another character I love is Dennis Reynolds (Far right), he has anger issues and is a borderline sociopath but there's something extremely attractive about him. Dennis is usually the leader of the gangs decisions as he cares the most about his reputation. Mac (Middle right) and Dee Reynolds (Middle left) are also exceptionally funny characters. Danny DeVito is also in the show from season 2 if you need a dose of DeVito in your life, who doesn't? Iconic, truly. I would recommend this show to every single person on this planet, it always makes me laugh out loud and the episodes are short and sweet (20 minutes) which makes it especially easy to binge watch 5 seasons in one day. Trailer here.
2. Peep Show.
I admit, this isn't the most clean comedy so if you're sensitive I wouldn't recommend it but I loved it and binge watched it until I had to keep matchsticks on my eyes to stay awake. Peep Show is about two friends, Mark and Jez, who live together yet have nothing in common apart from the fact they both don't know how to "do life". This show is unique to any other show I have watched before; this is because it is filmed in a POV format. It makes the show seem more personal as it feels like you, as the watcher are living their lives with them. If you are a little strange like me and enjoy a bit of black comedy you will love this show. It gets dark. Trailer here.
3. Santa Clarita Diet.
Initially, I wanted to give this show a try due to my crush on Timothy Olyphant who plays Joel Hammond (Right) but I was hooked instantly by the unique plot of the horror-comedy. Sheila Hammond (Left), wife of Joel, dies after being violently sick while working as an estate agent and wakes up as some kind of flesh eating Zombie Mum. During the show, Joel and Sheila try to cater for her needs for human flesh without being caught. It's so different to any horror-comedy I've ever seen before, but I must say before you're put off by the thought of it possibly being scary or too gruesome - it's more comedy than anything else. I hate gruesome shows/movies yet here I am recommending this to you. Trailer here.
To conclude this short list of my favourite Netflix shows, I must add that I find it hard to get into shows at the best of times and there are far more brilliant shows I haven't mentioned. But watch these anyway, tah!
